Don't call a waitress or girl 小姐 (xiao3 jie3) like you would it in Taiwan. in China it can mean "prostitute".

Don't use the Japanese word "曖昧" in Chinese. It doesn't just mean unclear. It has an unwholesome nuance to it and seems to usually used saying that his and her relationship is 曖昧 -- immoral.
