Sometimes we may speak in a manner that can come across as intimidating and rude, but it is the nature of some to speak in this way. Rest assured that we most likely do not have ill intentions and do not be too offended by this.

Look up some common "Singlish" words to fit in better and understand the feeling of what people mean. Many of these are from Hokkien (a dialect of Chinese from eastern China), but you will hear all people using these.
