When being in a restaurant or café, do not tip! Tips are quite uncommon in Denmark and in some cases can even be perceived as rude. The salary for waiters in Denmark is quite high and the danish people are proud of their jobs. Be friendly, but no pity-tip please.

Learn and use the Danish word "Hyggelig" which means an environment or situation which is cozy, maybe low lights, with friends, and an altogether chill or good time together. This is related to the Dutch/Afrikaans/German "Gezellig", and is an important concept in the culture.
